A deep dive into Interafinity's stealth copilot — how it listens, processes, and suggests answers without detection during live interviews.

What if you had an expert whispering the perfect answer during your interview — without anyone knowing? That's the idea behind Interafinity's real-time interview copilot.
In this deep dive, we'll explain how the technology works, what makes it undetectable, and how candidates are using it to perform at their best.
The copilot works in three stages, all happening in real time:
1. Audio Capture & Transcription. The system captures audio from your interview call (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or phone) using your device's audio routing. The audio stream is sent to our transcription engine, which converts speech to text with <500ms latency.
2. Context Analysis. As the interviewer speaks, our AI analyzes the question in real time. It identifies the question type (behavioral, technical, system design, case study), extracts key requirements, and maps it against your resume and preparation notes.
3. Answer Generation. Within 2-3 seconds of the interviewer finishing their question, the copilot displays a suggested answer framework on your screen. It's not a script — it's structured bullet points that guide your response.
Detection is a real concern. Here's how the copilot stays invisible:
Screen sharing safe. The copilot renders in a separate process that's excluded from screen sharing APIs. Even if you share your entire screen, the copilot overlay is not captured.
No suspicious eye movement. The overlay appears in your natural line of sight — near where you'd naturally look at the camera. No glancing at a second monitor.
Natural response pacing. The copilot doesn't encourage instant-response behavior. It provides thinking structure, so your answers sound natural and thoughtful — not rehearsed.
The copilot is most valuable in three scenarios:
Behavioral rounds: It suggests STAR-structured talking points based on your uploaded resume and past experiences. Instead of freezing when asked "Tell me about a time you failed," you see a structured prompt with your own experience formatted as Situation → Task → Action → Result.
System design rounds: It provides architecture scaffolding — load estimates, component breakdowns, and trade-off frameworks specific to the problem being asked.
Unexpected questions: When the interviewer goes off-script, the copilot's real-time analysis helps you structure a response even for questions you haven't prepared for.
The system is built on a WebSocket-based pipeline. Audio is streamed from the client to our transcription service (powered by Deepgram for low-latency ASR). The transcribed text is processed by our fine-tuned language model, which generates structured suggestions. The entire round trip — from audio capture to displayed suggestion — takes 2-4 seconds.
We've optimized for minimal bandwidth usage (audio is compressed to opus format) and minimal CPU usage on the client side. The copilot works even on older hardware and slower connections.
Your audio and transcriptions are processed in real time and are not stored after the session ends. We do not record your interviews. The copilot is a preparation and confidence tool — the knowledge and delivery are always yours.
The real-time copilot is available as part of our interview preparation plans. Set it up in under 2 minutes, and use it in your next live interview or mock session.
Share it with someone preparing for interviews, or start your own prep journey.
